FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- This summer during training camp, New England Patriots fans never missed an opportunity to let Tom Brady know they were thinking about him.He was weeks away from the start of his four-game Deflategate suspension, and every time he stepped on the field he was showered with cheers and serenaded with Brady! Brady! Brady! chants. After a successful regular-season debut at Cleveland last week, Sunday is Tom Terrifics homecoming.I think well see how it plays out, Brady said. But yeah, I know theyre expecting a good crowd. Well be fired up, too. I mean were playing a great team. Were 4-1, its not great, but were in a decent position. It will also be the latest challenge for a Bengals team that has had very limited success against Mr. Brady.Cincinnati (2-3) is coming off a 28-14 loss at Dallas last week and is trying to avoid its first 2-4 start since 2010, when it finished 4-12 -- its worst season under Marvin Lewis. The Bengals also would match their regular-season loss total from 2015, when they tied the club record with a 12-4 mark.Brady enters Sunday 5-1 overall and 3-0 at home against Cincinnati, which has never beaten the Patriots since they moved into Gillette Stadium in 2002.Bengals receiver Brandon LaFell, released by the Patriots in March after two seasons in New England, said he knows they will get Brady at his best.He doesnt lose in that stadium hardly ever, so its going to be hard, he said. The Bengals havent won at New England at all since 1986, dropping their last six, including 43-17 loss in 2014.That meeting came a year after Cincinnatis 13-6 win at home, in which Brady had a streak of 52 straight games with at least one touchdown pass ended. Otherwise, Brady has had his way with the Bengals, throwing for 12 touchdowns and just two interceptions in his five wins against them.It ultimately comes down to how well youre playing as a team, he said. Its never where you play, its really how you play. Here are some things to watch for in Sundays game:FLATTENED BENGALS: Cincinnatis defense has been roughed-up, allowing three touchdown passes of more than 40 yards and a 60-yard touchdown run in the last three games. Dallas ran for 180 yards its win last Sunday against a defense that allowed the second-fewest points in the NFL last year. Even with linebacker Vontaze Burfict back from a three-game NFL suspension, the defense has suffered from regular breakdowns.Obviously having Brady back helps out their offense a lot, defensive coordinator Paul Guenther said. It will be the hardest challenge probably that we have all year from our side of the ball.LAFELLS RETURN: LaFell played two seasons in New England before signing with the Bengals as a free agent to replace Marvin Jones. LaFell caught his first two touchdown passes of the season in Dallas, an indication hes starting to settle into the offense. With teams trying to clamp down on A.J. Green, the Bengals need another consistent threat at receiver.Hopefully we can continue to build on that and continue to connect more, and more so in crucial moments of the game, not when the game is out of hand, LaFell said.DALTON GOES DOWN: Andy Dalton has been sacked 17 times, tied for second most in the NFL. Hes on pace to eclipse his single-season record of 46 sacks in 2012, his second year in the league, Dalton was sacked only 20 times in 13 games last season. The sacks have put the offense in tough spots and contributed to a significant decline in scoring. In 2015, the Bengals scored at least 24 points in each game while starting 5-0. This season, they have yet to score 24 in any game.GRONKS HEALTH: After missing the first two games of the season with a hamstring injury, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski played in a season-high 81 percent of the offensive snaps and had five catches for 105 yards in last weeks win at Cleveland. I felt like myself last week, just getting into the groove now. Every single week, week in and week out now, just got to stay in a routine, stay in a groove. ...Im out there now, Im rolling now, so theres no excuses.OCTOBER FEST: The Patriots are an NFL-best 50-17 in the month of October since the 2000 season. They are 29-5 at home during that span in October, and 21-12 on the road.---AP Sports Writer Joe Kay in Cincinnati contributed to this report.---Follow Kyle Hightower on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/khightowerFake Air Max 270 For Sale . -- Stanford squashed Oregons national championship hopes again, schooling the Ducks in power football. With Haslam embroiled in a legal scandal involving his family-owned truck-stop business, Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed his confidence in Clevelands owner and said the league has no plans to intervene or discipline him at this point. Goodell visited Clevelands training camp on Thursday to launch a program between the league and Pop Warner with USA Footballs Heads Up Football Program. Following a clinic with young players, Goodell said hes satisfied with Haslams handling of the federal investigation at Pilot Flying J, and said the league is proud to be associated with its newest owner. "Jimmy Haslam is a man of great integrity," Goodell said. "Were proud to have him as an owner in the NFL and think hes going to be a great owner for the Cleveland Browns and their fans. Hes as disappointed as anybody in what happened at Pilot J and hes working hard to fix it and correct those issues, both from a structural standpoint and to make amends." Goodell added that the league has no plans to intervene at this time. "I dont think its a matter for us at this moment," Goodell said. Haslam has been in the crosshairs of controversy since April 15, when the FBI and IRS raided Pilot Flying Js headquarters in Knoxville, Tenn., seizing documents and as part of a probe into wide-spread fraud at the company. Haslam has maintained he did not know about a program within his sales staff to cheat customers out of rebate and discount money. Seven employees have pleaded guilty to defrauding customers. Goodell said Haslam assured him he knew nothing of the rebate scam. "Hes been very clear that hes had no knowledge of that and hes been clear publicly and clear with you all," Goodell said. "He doesnt need any pushing. This company means a lot to him and hes obviously not happy about what has happened and hes determined to fix it. Jimmy is more disappointed than anybody." Pressed about what the league might do if Haslam were indicted, Goodell refused to presume anything. "Were not going to play the hypothetical game," Goodell said. "Right now hes addressing the issues. Were confident hes going to deal with it properly. Youre dealing with a bunch of hypotheticals. Were not going there." Goodell said the league was thorough in its vetting of Haslam, who was a minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers before buying the Browns. "This was a surprise to him and to his senior-level management," Goodell said. "From that standpoint, I dont think he was aware of it and I dont know any way we could have been aware of it. It was not disclosed to us." Goodell has a well-earned reputation as being a tough disciplinarian with players. He promised to be equally firm with any owner who breaks the law. "We actually hold ownership to a higher standard and management," he said. "I think weve proven that in what weve done. Its not just accused. As you know, in our policy, oftentimes we let thhe criminal process unfold because you need to do that to find out the real facts.dddddddddddd Sometimes we dont have all the facts and we need to do that. What we look at is multiple offenders. As you know, thats a real focus for us." Haslam and Goodell were not seen together on the field as the Browns concluded their first week of camp. Goodell spent time visiting with Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown, who has returned as an adviser with the team. Earlier in the day, Goodell and Ohio State coach Urban Meyer conducted a football safety clinic for 500 moms of youth players in Columbus. Although he was already in the league, Haslam underwent the same scrutiny as any owner, Goodell insisted. "We go through the same process on any circumstance," Goodell said. "When youre going through a controlling ownership position, thats a big step up so we dont just pass that off. We do the same vetting process. Obviously he knows people in the league after being an owner, so there were certain aspects of that which were easier. But we didnt short-circuit anything." Goodell is satisfied the investigation has not been a distraction to the Browns, who are undergoing another makeover with a new front office and coaching staff, However, Goodell did concede its troubling one of the NFLs owners is part of federal probe. "You never want to see this kind of thing happen, particularly to a partner in the league," Goodell said. "Obviously his partners care a great deal about him and as a partner they want to see him getting off to a good start. This is not what anybody intended, not anybody anticipated. But hes a man that I think everyone truly respects in the NFL." Goodell said the Browns are in good hands with Haslam, whom he believes can restore the Browns to their former glory. "Jimmy Haslam came into this with a mindset that he was going to do everything possible to get this franchise turned around in a positive direction and a team that this community will be proud of not just in any single year but consistently and to create a winner," Goodell said. "And hes brought in great talent. Hes brought in great people. He set the organization obviously in a different direction. I think thats all positive and good for the fans here and ultimately good for the NFL."
