He was a four-star recruit according to Rivals. Willis participated in the 2014 Under Armour All American Game. Willis committed to Florida, but transferred after his freshman season. Willis was ultra productive for the Miami Hurricanes in 2018. He led the ACC in tackles-for-loss with 18, which is also more than any other defensive tackle in FBS.
